Nobody ever seems to forget to train their chest and abs, but most don’t do chest and abs workouts that train both at the same time. In this video, I’m going to show you a chest and abs workout that crushes both muscle groups in just 30 minutes, allowing you to have shorter workouts and see faster results.

The chest and abdominals are anterior chain muscles that have a lot of coordination between them. When you perform exercises for your chest, many times you prevent these two muscles from working together. That is a big mistake.

With just a few tweaks to your chest exercises in your next chest workout, you can be sure that your abs get just as much work. Watch as I show you the way to hit your chest with multidimensional exercises that force your abs to pitch in to get the job done. Here is the exact 30 minute chest and abs workout outlined in this video.

Gymnast Dips – 4 sets to failure
One Arm Incline Bench Press – 4 sets to failure with your 10-12RM
Archer Pushups – 4 sets to failure
3-D Cable Crossovers – 3-4 sets to failure on each arm

For the cable crossovers you can use either a cable if you are training in a gym or a piece of resistance tubing if you are training at home.

Not only are the abs intimately involved in almost every exercise you do, but they are actually necessary to stabilize your torso in order to generate the most force. If your abs aren’t engaged during a chest dip for example not only will your form get sloppy, but you will lose some of your pushing power from the bottom of the dip.

When you train your body the way it prefers to be trained, you’ll be shocked at how much quicker your muscles will respond. Too often, men will train all of their muscles in isolation.   2. Jeff what is something i can focus on that will focus on leaning up and chizzling up abs and still have broad upper body pecks….if needed i could send pic of body to show what i need require

Hey im seriously in natural goodshape from occasional pullups and little to no other workout besides normal work aroumd the garage and normal life nothing lol but my question is for Jeff on how can i go from decently im shape and do a high intensity quick results exercise routine…..i already weigh 170lbs at 511 and decent pecs abs but nothing like a person working out….dam im rambling not knowing what exactly to say to deliver the idea or picture im wanting to pulloff…to sum this up quickly without more aimless babbling well just say i have a perfect clean slate to build on and would only need little excersice here n there and i could go from athletic body to chizzled abs pecks and overall upper body look

  4. Train me please. I am a full-time student with three children and a team player for a husband. During this past semester I was in and out of the hospital. I need to learn out to workout to get the results I want. I have taken the steps to eating right (still in work in progress) Help me Train Hard in my late 30s and I am not getting any younger.
